    Description

    An ancient hinged copper bracelet from Mali. It would have had iron pins in the hinges that have eroded away during burial. It has been excavated and has quite a bit of verdigris on the surface. Copper was mined and traded in Mali as early as 100 AD. The picture is enlarged to show detail please refer to the measurements for the exact size. It measures 4 inches, 10.3 cm, in diameter and .74 inches, 19 mm, in depth. The inside diameter measures 3 inches, 7.8 cm. Scroll down the page for more pictures. The coin in the picture measures 16 mm in diameter.
