    Description

    Antique primitive wood and forged iron axe collected in the Zambia/Zimbabwe area in the 1960's.  Unknown tribe, likely associated with Congo region.  Shows significant age and use.  Similar style axes generally dated in the 1600 to mid 1800's period.  Appearance of being a use tool rather than ceremonial.  Scarce item.  Selling for young lady in her 90's who lived in Zambia in the 1960's with her husband who created a significant collection of antique African items.  Keep following, more to come.  Thanks for looking!
