    this Akuaba while in
    the
    countries of
    Mali and the Ivory Coast
    on a trip
    in 1988 with an
    Art History group guided by
    Jerry Vogel and sponsored by
    Parsons
    School of
    Design
    located in
    New York City.
    The piece is in
    the exact
    condition as when I purchased it and has
    been
    stored/exhibited in my home since.
