    Old Fine Mossi Fabric – Man's Robe - Burkina Faso
    1980'. Cotton. Fabric
    made from 5 strips sewn together
    . Cm. 136,0 high x cm. 98,0 width (53.54″ x 38.58″).
    Some damage due to age and use (see photos).
    Narrow strips of handwoven cotton - 7,5 cm in wide - are stitched together into a whole cloth, then dip dyed several times in indigo and embroidered. The indigo colour has aged gracefully and the cloth have a lovely, soft feel.
    This fabric has been professionally washed.
